YAY; Cathy is making a 2009 calendar that will be ready soon.
I have 3 friends with Corgis: one has 2 rescue Corgis and a third who is 14 now. He still really prances while his dinner's being made. #2 friend is a Corg breeder in Aiken, SC, who is so much fun! She practices herding, agility, rally and hers are all certified therapy dogs. She has one adorable tiny one named Itty who she calls a terrorist because she rules the household. She even nicknamed her Itty Amin (HA)! Her dogs have the sweetest dispositions and my next Corgi will definitely be one of hers.
#3 friend is uber into agility and has 2 Corgis (and 3 border collies). Her Eliza is now 10 but is still active, even after having major back sugery 3 years ago. She has 3 more double Qs to make Mach 8, yes, 8, and then she will retire. My friend is nervous about retiring her because Eliza loves it SO much but her little 10 year old body really needs to slow down a bit. My house gets the pleasure of keeping Eliza whenever my friend travels, which is quite a bit.
If Cathy reads this, would you please consider artwork showing Corgis herding sheep (even though they were bred for cattle) as it's becoming such a popular pastime. Thanks!
Our Christmas cards always show our Corgis. The first one done with Mazie was when she was a puppy and we put her in reindeer ears. Everyone thought it was hilarious because of the expression on her pitiful face.
Merry Christmas, all you Corgi lovers! May your home be blessed with good health and LOTS of cookies.

Dear Karen, Thanks so much for all of the calendar love; all of your lovely compliments are making me blush. You are so sweet! What a great idea to frame the calendar pic. I'll bet the Corgettes look spiffy in the red mat and frame. Clever girl! I cross my heart and promise that I will do more sheep herding. Confession: I have a little sheep collection. I am not sure how it started, but I've got quite a few on my 'sheep shelf.' Let me know how you like the calendar when it arrives. Have a Merry Christmas! Warmly, Cathy ^..^
